Welcome to the Toy Soldier Collectors of America.

If you are a visitor or a new member, then may your time spent with us be enjoyable.

The TSCA was originally founded at the Atlanta Soldier Show back in January of 1979.  John Giddings, Gene Johnson, Walter Mabrey, Bob Drew, Mel Cohen, Alan Gwin, Dale Van Ormer, Walt Dineen, and Charlie Duval held a short meeting to figure a way of getting toy soldiers recognized at military miniature shows, as a legitimate part of the hobby.   John Giddings suggested that we form a club - a loose organization of toy soldier collectors and enthusiasts, and we would publish a list of our members so that we could all contact each other.  Also, we would sponsor awards at various military miniature shows.

The hobby has come a long way since 1979.  Now, most military miniature shows recognize "toy soldiers" (old and new, metal and plastic, paper, wood and composition, and in all scales).  Now most military miniature shows have separate award catagories for the best displays.  We also now have a plethora of shows specializing in just toy soldiers throughout the United States, starting with the OTSN show in Chicago, back in 1981.  Both the Atlanta Show and the OTSN Show are still being held.        (Click here to see a complete list of current shows.)

Today, the TSCA is an association of people who love and collect toy soldiers.  Its purpose is to promote interest in the toy soldier hobby, to establish fellowship among collectors, and to just have fun.    We also encourage your input whenever you have something you'd like to share with us, including tips and photos of your own work.

The TSCA continues to publish the Annual Membership Directory, which is completely private and will not be published online.  This not only assures your privacy, but will give you the names of all current members and how to get in touch with them.  The Directory becomes available with your paid membeship.

With your TSCA Membership of $10 a year,  you will receive the latest Membership Directory,  a membership card and a 2.5 inch bagde.    All paid members  are also eligible to join the TSCA Yahoo Group Roundtable.

We welcome all visitors to check out our website.  It is a free clearing house, open to everyone.  This site is financially supported by the dues collected from paid memberships, as is the printing and mailing of the Annual Membership Directory.  If you would like to join (and we hope that you will), please click below, and it will take you to an application page, which you can download, fill out, and mail in.  Unfortunately, we are not set up at this time to take electronic payments, though we are working on having this service available in the not-too-distant future.
